My book reviews are not meant to be typical reviews, but are idiosyncratic. I occasionally write short book reviews on Library Thing, if I don’t have enough to say about them on Macy Makes Magic. I am also on Good Reads but I find it too commercial.

Please feel free to comment on any article or review on my blog. All comments will be approved quickly if they are not harmful. Many will be replied if I have something to add.

I was born in San Francisco in 1965. I am the daughter of Carmelo Zito the Italian American Anti-fascist born in 1889 in Oppido Mamertina is province of Reggio Calabria Italy. He published an Italian language Newspaper called Il Corriere del Popolo which means the message of the people. I currently live in Holts Summit Missouri near Jefferson City where I am restoring six acres of land to its naturally state to help the Environment.

I started blogging with Live Journal circa 2001-2002. Some of my posts are backdated to earlier times before MacyMakesMagic existed. I also had another Free Word Press Blog which I migrated to MacyMakesMagic in 2016 when I decided to change to a paid Word Press Plan plan and created MacyMakesMagic. The name has nothing to do with Macy’s the store or the Disney Brand “Magic Kingdom”. Macy is a fictional character I created and the name of this blog is purely whimsical. This is blog many of topics. It’s was hard to pick a blog name and URL that did not pigeon hole me a particular focus.
