2023 Land Restoration Report

12/2/2023

Progress has been slow and I developed tennis elbow from all the intense gardening trying to beat back the invasive non native species. We’ve only been able to cultivate land that is slightly close to the house. Despite what I admit is failure into turning this into some sort of beautiful ecological natural habitat, at least me being in physical possession of the six acres keep someone unscrupulous from buying it and turning it into a trailer park.

I am not exaggerating to make a point. When I moved in the neighbors told me that somebody had wanted to turn it into a trailer park and they were going to. When I bought the house on the land I asked the realtor if I could put up any number of buildings or whatever I wanted. She said there were no limits to what I could put up or build, unlike when I was living in San Francisco which was so overly regulated you couldn’t really do anything. Somebody who was unnamed wanted to turn my land into a trailer park but the neighbors didn’t want a trailer park behind their houses. I’m saving the neighborhood from potentially having a trailer park. I keep out water and bird feeders. But its not the paradise I imaged it would become.
