Hermione was gone and there was nothing left but dodgy looking real estate sales by Maris that did not show the price.
These real estate listings that seem like sales that didn’t go through. They were actually some kind of bizarre deception, but the reason for the deception was unclear. Macy thought she should ask a realtor. Likely it had to do with not including these weird sales in with legitimate sales that would lower other houses asking prices.
It was possible Hermione still existed inside the house built in 1916.

Hermione painted the walls red-orange in a spree of mania while Woodleaf lost himself in a world of ketamine. Ketamine caused him to become more spiritual and take up yoga. Unfortunately ketamine also caused him to have an unpleasant body odor. So much so that he was asked to leave his hot yoga class.
Then in a strange fit of paranoia houses were blurred out of Google Maps in a desperate attempt to preserve privacy so no one would speculate but the speculation was inevitable. “Nothing is more interesting then a mystery,” said Macy.
The blurred houses only created a more intense curiosity. There must be an answer as to why these houses have been blurred off of Google Maps. Anyone could have requested it. An enemy of Woodleaf may have done it as a joke. Bob Nelson comes to mind as a potential blurrer.
Maybe Woodleaf was holding Hermione prisoner and wouldn’t allow her to go out and have fun at the festival of Saint Charles on November 4th?
Maybe a stroke had left her disabled? Maybe she had lost her memory? Maybe she was a victim of the disease of alcoholism because she was trying to drowned out all those upsetting voices in her head?
Maybe Woodleaf had given her the wrong kind of drugs? Maybe something else terrible had happened such as she was in a wheelchair and couldn’t leave the house with the nauseating smell of mold and the strangely painted walls?
Maybe the mold growing under the paint in the walls caused some health issue like sick building syndrome?
She was planning to attend a Zoom Seminar called “10 warning signs of dementia” except she forgot to attend it.
There were so many collections in the small house. Mostly sentimental items vintage perfume bottles, hats, costumes, high heeled shoes, and vintage glassware.
The bottles were fragrances like Lauren (by Ralph Lauren) Jean Naté, Charlie and Babe.
Gob smacked, that is how she felt. Maybe David Bowie had written a song about her when she was young, but David Bowie was gone and she wasn’t young anymore. All that was left was the trappings the perfume and the makeup of the once great beauty.
Her song may have been “Golden Years”, but maybe it was a song named after her? The song “Lady Hermione” was on some obscure album somewhere in Bowie’s back catalogue that is really yet to have been brought into light.
